 I love Black History month.

I have since I was a young girl.

It’s appropriate to me that it sits right next to Women’s History Month on the calendar.

So much crossover…….

Mary White Ovington is a wonderful historic individual to uplift in Black history month and next month, Women’s History month.

Mary White Ovington was one of the most important historical figures of the 20th century. She was an American activist, a leader of the Women’s suffrage movement, and a co-founder of the NAACP. She is known for her work to improve the lives of the poor.

Most importantly, she was a self-educated activist who understood the power of education as a means of empowering people. Her life, in many ways, represents the struggle for universal suffrage, and the movement she captured the hearts of so many people.
