The recent allegations are that these children and their families do not want to learn about persons who are LGBTQ.
LGBTQ persons, like most demographics, have made significant contributions throughout history and have been a part of many of our school lessons for some time.
I have been pleased to see us as a society creep towards being more open and accepting in our discussions of people who bravely chose to be open about their relationship partners in an intolerant and violent society.
We still have an extremely long way to go on this journey. We are nowhere near where we need to be.
I’ve also enjoyed conversations that helped us to learn lessons about people who suffered because they simply could not be more open about who they chose to love. Thus, we need to make progress a lot faster in this area.
Unheard Voices
It pleases me to finally begin to hear from the people at the center of this debate around sexuality in school curriculums-school children.
We adults have been doing a lot of talking and debating but we have not been doing enough listening to the ones most impacted by all of this. I am glad to hear from a growing diverse and inclusive group of schoolchildren on this issue.
That said, we as adults need to keep in mind that Islamophobia and racism, and homophobia, are big problems in this country. We must do everything that we can to protect these children.
Regime Media will never show you this.

As a vocal and staunch supporter of diversity and inclusion across many demographics I welcome teachings of as many peoples and cultures as we can fit in.
I also hear and accept the concerns of those who have reservations of just how much sexual content will be involved.
Will the content be G/PG/PG-13/or X-rated?
(I’ve seen a few samples. I have concerns myself and I am not a child. I have birthed and raised a child.)
To Be Clear: It is WRONG to assume that people of a certain faith do not want to learn about LGBTQ persons because they “hate” them.
We must open our minds and listen to one another for specific concerns about content.
Note: Left-leaning media could be more helpful in bringing people together by ending the practice of labeling everyone who doesn’t agree with them 110% as “hateful”. A disagreement isn’t always a signal of “hate” is it?
As it is, content creators, group facilitators, and group leaders must turn to other media sources for information like the video above. Please do better.
