There are numerous creatures in nature that possess the ability to self-heal, including zebrafish. These small freshwater fish have the ability to regenerate damaged fins, heart tissue, and even parts of their brain.
In my years working with women on their healing journey, I have been astonished and amazed at our ability to heal. With the support of others, I have had the honor to witness women completely transform. It’s a beautiful thing.
think that the general public has this image of women fleeing in crisis without a plan or a strategy. In my professional experience, that is not the case. Women call shelters ahead of time, sometimes for months, with a multitude of questions.
“What will happen to my children?”
“Where will they attend school?”
“How will they get to school?”
“I take medication. Will I be able to keep it with me? Will it be given to me on time?”
“Will I be able to attend my faith services?”
“I am on a special diet.”
Women are planners!
Most people who work in rape and domestic violence crisis centers know this well.
So…….this is concerning😨
Allegedly, the CEO of a Rape Crisis Centre is blocking women who inquire about single-sex services. For MILLIONS of women, single-sex services are ESSENTIAL.
It is not a “luxury”.
It is not “hate”.
It is a necessity.
It is health.
It is survival.
The CEO of Sligo Rape Crisis Centre which is blocking hundreds of women for asking if it provides single sex support is a man who has worked his life in the NGO sector. He is called David Madden. Women are amazing human beings. Even in crisis, we are multi-taskers who know what we need. Women who reach out for help deserve to have the care, attention, and nurturing to make them whole and well.
In spite of women being targeted for torture, violence, and abuse from girlhood; we are not the demographic inflicting more violence on others.
Even with over 200 million victims of female genital mutilation…..
A female is killed every 11 minutes. Daily femicides……
1 in 4 women and girls experiencing sexual violence….
It is ghoulish behavior to attempt to make victims of sexual violence concerned about care (+allies) the villain. Ghoulish.
We are not the majority of mass shooters, terrorists, genociders, warmongers, rapists, murderers, or pedophiles.
Healing is nature.
Healing is natural.
Healing is HUMANE.
Women who seek to heal deserve the healing that they need.
If you are not going to do at least that, change your name, brand, and target market and do something else.
