This is one of the most horrific incidences of domestic violence many of us advocates have heard of. Robin Simpson was murdered in stabbed in front of her child but please be warned, the details are extremely gruesome.
Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and all loved ones. We also stand with Robin’s sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, who has been instrumental in helping to bring awareness.
As they continue to mourn, the community is asking that you join them in asking questions about the system response including the police response and the decision to release the person accused of murdering Robin in front of her child on bail.
We pray for the comfort and healing of the community, the family, the friends, and the loved ones.
We also call for more action, resources and justice to address domestic violence in all communities.
