We have known for a long time now that all it takes is indifference and inaction for evil to choke the light from everything in its path that is good.
We know that faith followers and sheep of an evil doer who see abuse and support it are a large part of the reason that the suffering not only continues but spreads like a deadly virus.
We know.
Nothing changes unless good people actively change it.
@CharlieWrldTV on X platform makes this great point:
The essence of misogyny isn’t always in the loud, obvious hatred; it’s in the quiet indifference.
It’s in the shrug that dismisses women’s safety, dignity, and identity as negotiable.
When the boundary between male and female is erased, the harm isn’t hypothetical—it’s real, lived, and endured by women.
What’s the harm, they ask? The harm is in the erosion of spaces women fought to claim, in the dismissal of their concerns as inconvenient noise.
To dismiss this is to say that women’s voices, their fears, their very existence, don’t count.
And that, perhaps, is the most insidious cruelty of all: not outright hostility, but the ease with which so many can pretend not to notice.
We have more growing to do.
I’m looking forward to it because of what it means for all of us.
