Please, never get so complacent about women’s rights that you believe that we have rights to spare or take for granted. I promise you that we do not. – Tonya GJ Prince

I see these women yelling at other women about being “hateful” towards males for not allowing males to doormat them in their own spaces.  These women fail to notice that no one is doing the same for them. The voices yelling to speak up for women’s rights are women and a few brave males (mostly openly gay).

Other than that, women and girls have few allies, sadly…sometimes not even one another.  IF we want to hold onto the rights that our foremothers paid heavy prices for, we must maintain our focus.

We can’t EVER allow our minds to think that we too can’t lose our hard-won rights as soon as the next 24 hours. Ever.

Women’s rights are as fragile as they come.  Our bodies are natural resources that can do amazing things for humanity. That makes us powerful, beautiful, unique, special, and intimidating.

I’ll let you think about what human beings of the male persuasion do with and to living creatures that have similar qualities–historically to present day.

“Our world is full of men and women who do not like powerful women.”

– Dear Ijeawele  (Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie)
