In the United States, a presidential executive order is ordering males out of women’s federal prisons.

Some people who were completely deaf to women raising awareness around “safety concerns” have now caught onto the phrase. (Welcome)

BUT to cry out for the safety of select males.

Not the following males:

  • disabled males
  • small statured males
  • males with intellectual disabilities
Meanwhile, very few heard anything that women’s rights activists had to say about the safety of female prisoners from males that they expressed fear of.

Clarity
Generations of women have uplifted the word “safety” so often that people instantly connect that word with someone who has concerns about women and children.

Not everyone expressing concern for “safety” cares about women. At all.

Not everyone expressing concern for “safety” cares about children. At all.

I have compassion for most human beings.  I do not want anyone to be tortured or assaulted. Doing this work teaches you that not everyone understands that not everyone views women and children who are worthy of compassion and respect.

I pray that changes. Soon, and very soon.
