Proverbs 12:19 puts it this way…..

“Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.”

When victims of abuse summon the courage to tell their stories, someone says, as a matter of fact too many someone’s say: “Why now? Why not say this years ago?”

I say: “There is never a bad day to tell the truth, because the truth is the truth everyday.”

Too many people will listen to lies everyday and walk around satisfied. Consider themselves “well-informed”. Hear and see the most hateful and vile junk and call it “a difference of opinion“.

If the truth disturbs your soul so much, perhaps you should ask yourself why you have become so irritated, disturbed, and allergic to hearing the truth spoken on any given random day.

Survivors, speak truth. The world needs more of it, if only to know what it sounds like.

That late and one of the greatest men to walk among us, John Lewis, may he rest in perfect peace in power!

*If these people were so proud of what they were doing in their later years, why do we never hear them telling about the “noble deeds” they did?

Quotes by Congressman John Lewis, truly one of the greatest human beings to walk the earth.

  1. “Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.”

  2. “When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up.”

  3. “You have to say something; you have to do something.”

  4. “The vote is the most powerful nonviolent change agent you have in a democratic society.”

  5. “You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it.”

  6. “Though I am gone, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart.”

  7. “Stand up for what you truly believe.”

  8. “Ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America.”

  9. “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.”

  10. “Find a way to get in trouble — good trouble, necessary trouble.”

  11. “Make our country what our country should be, and help change the world.”
