We told you.
We warned you.
We begged you to listen.
We tried to explain what was coming down the road.
We cried out when the signs were subtle, when the red flags first went up, when the harm was still avoidable.
But we were told to hush.
We were told we were overreacting.
We were told we were imagining things.
We were told we weren’t kind enough.
And now here we are.
A world where it is common—expected and welcomed—for men to lie.
To lie about who they are.
To lie about what they want.
To lie about what they do.
And worse still, a world where women and girls are punished if we tell the truth.
We are now expected to undress in front of men and boys.
Not just in locker rooms, but in language. In legislation. In public debate.
We are expected to acquiesce.
To yield.
To participate in our own humiliation, for fear of being labeled hateful or “phobic.”
We are now told to cheer while men destroy women in contact sports.
To clap as our records are shattered.
To stay silent while girls are bruised and broken on courts and fields.
Because telling the truth makes us the problem.
We are now expected to smile as men slander us, shout over us, demean us, invade our spaces—
simply because we said no.
No, you are not a woman.
No, you cannot come in here.
No, you cannot take this from us.
No, we will not lie for you.
They call us bigots.
They call us transphobes.
But this is not about hate.
It is about boundaries.
It is about truth.
It is about survival.
We said:
If you let misogyny in through a new door, it will not stop.
If you let sexism dress itself up in new language, it will still be sexism.
If you allow gynophobia to call itself progress, women and girls will pay the price.
And now it is televised.
Every punch thrown.
Every title stolen.
Every slur hurled at a woman who dared to say enough.
It’s all there, broadcast for the world to see.
You may not have believed us.
You may have dismissed us.
You may have stayed silent while we were pushed aside.
But we were never confused.
We saw the harm coming.
And we told you.
This is a dangerous mess.
And you all have to clean it up.

Violence Starts with DISRESPECT
I wish posts like these were uncommon. They are not.
You can’t even address it because there is nothing between full compliance and hate.
