There are few heartbreaks more jarring than this:
Realizing someone you admire is cheering for those who endanger children.

And it cuts deeper when it’s not strangers.
It’s…

  • Beloved family members

  • Respected colleagues

  • Trusted friends

  • Elders you once leaned on for wisdom

When they side with those seeking unfettered access to children,
something breaks wide open.

šŸ˜” What That Feels Like:

  • A gut punch to your intuition

  • A whisper of panic: ā€œAm I the only one who sees this?ā€

  • A spiritual betrayal: ā€œHow can they ignore what they once taught me to protect?ā€

  • A dizzying grief: ā€œAre they silent out of fear—or allegiance?ā€

This isn’t a debate.
It’s grief.

šŸ›‘ The Danger of Misplaced Loyalty

Some folks confuse:

  • Advocacy with ā€œhateā€

  • Boundaries with ā€œjudgmentā€

  • Protection with ā€œparanoiaā€

They’re louder about adult inclusion
than they are about child protection.

Elders used to say:
ā€œWhen the wolves dress like shepherds, watch who keeps handing them keys to the gates.ā€

šŸ˜” The Loneliness of Seeing Clearly

When you see the danger, others might:

  • Call you ā€œextremeā€

  • Accuse you of ā€œoverreactingā€

  • Push you to keep quiet to avoid ā€œdramaā€

But listen…

Truth is not cruelty.
Discernment is not hate.
And as the elders said: ā€œJust because the room is silent, don’t mean you’re wrong.ā€

🧭 You Are Not Alone

If you feel:

  • Dismissed by people who should know better

  • Heartbroken by the silence of ā€œalliesā€

  • Exposed for saying what others are too scared to say…

Please hear this:

Your clarity is a gift.
Your courage is not the problem.
Their silence is.

šŸ—£ What You Can Say (and still sleep at night):

  • ā€œChildren’s safety is not a controversial stance.ā€

  • ā€œIf safety boundaries offend someone, that’s a red flag.ā€

  • ā€œWe protect children first. Everything else comes second.ā€

  • ā€œLove doesn’t ask us to abandon discernment.ā€

🌱 The Truth Still Matters

Even when it costs you connection.
Even when it makes the room uncomfortable.
Even when people you love disappoint you.

ā€œRight is still right—if nobody’s doing it.
And wrong is still wrong—if everybody’s clapping.ā€

So speak it.
Hold it.
Protect the vulnerable.
Let your voice be the one that breaks the silence wide open.

Spread the love
