Every time you say, “She should’ve known better,”
Every time you ask, “Well, what did she do to make him so angry?”
Every time you demand she “take accountability” for getting harmed—
You’re doing his job.
You silence her.
You shame her.
You isolate her.
You make sure there’s nowhere safe to run.
All while he sits back and watches the damage done in his name… by people who claim to love her.
He doesn’t have to take responsibility—because you’ve already made her carry the full weight of his violence.
He doesn’t have to silence her—because your gossip, your judgment, and your cold shoulders do it for him.
He doesn’t have to destroy her spirit—because the people she turned to for safety did that in whispers and sideways glances.
