I don’t know if you saw this, but while overall violent crime is reportedly on the decline, domestic violence in the U.S. has actually risen by about 3% in major cities as of mid-2025.

Even more alarming, advocacy groups are facing devastating funding cuts, with VOCA reductions and shrinking budgets forcing many programs to shut down or turn Survivors away.

These two realities are colliding in dangerous ways—rising need, but fewer lifelines. We need to talk about this.

People were offended but this is why I said, I do not take advice on American elections from people who do not reside in America. (or don’t understand how our systems work).
