and how Survivors can lose everything and still be denied justice.

Not because it makes us rich.
But because the criminal justice system was never built for us.
Not for our grief.
Not for our shame.
Not for our trauma-wracked bodies.
Not for our children watching from the sidelines, praying the adults do the right thing.

Moving to safety requires money.
And some of us lose everything when we tell the truth.
