Not all misogyny shouts. Some of it whispers. Some of it comes dressed as politeness, concern, or tradition.
It’s when women are praised for being “selfless” while their needs go ignored.
It’s when girls are told to “be nice” instead of being taught to be safe.
It’s when promotions are given to men who are “leaders,” while women showing the same traits are called “difficult.”
It’s when a man says he “lets” his wife work, as if her independence is his to grant.
This is hidden misogyny—the kind that slips through undetected because it looks normal.
It hides in everyday language, policies, and expectations. And that’s what makes it so dangerous: it convinces women to shrink themselves without even realizing they’ve been pushed.
✨ True respect means not just rejecting the loud, violent misogyny—but also naming and dismantling the kind that smiles in our faces.
