So the latest update is that Jennifer Melle has been suspended.

She was providing care to a male prisoner.
Nurse Melle is a veteran professional who was doing her job for a patient few have a lot of empathy for.
And this is how she is repaid.
Reports confirm that Jennifer Melle was treating a male prisoner who had been convicted of child sexual abuse when she addressed him as “Mister” and refused to use female pronouns.
In May 2024, the prisoner (referred to as “Mr X”) was transferred from a male high-security prison for hospital treatment. Official medical records labeled him male. The patient, who identifies as a woman, became enraged and used racial slurs against her, including the n‑word, while threatening her physically. She explained to him she couldn’t use “she/her” pronouns due to her Christian beliefs but offered to call him by name. All around the world, many of us women have warned other women repeatedly that crisis times are very different from celebratory, entertainment, fun, and fashion times.
For safety’s sake people were warned that when it comes to employment, safety, and protection; most men just are not there yet. Outside of the benefit of connection of relationship or kinship with women…men protect men. When men are violent against women and children, too few have the courage to speak up.
And look how quiet everyone is.
- Where is the media? There is only a handful.
- Where are alllll the women? Only a few. (diverse group-Black, white, all over the world…but still a meager few)
- Is this not “women’s rights issue”? Where are the “women’s rights” organizations?
This silence when a woman is afraid, threatened, and insulted by an expert caregiver? This is the global-wide norm.
The arrogant defense and protection of a violent man who destroys the vulnerable. That’s a global-wide norm too.
Please leave (some of us) women alone when you are crusading for male rights to dominate women and children because as you see, not enough human beings are genuinely there for women and children when it matters most.
Too many GREAT and phenomenal human beings are being silenced, cast out, and worn down …..for what?
She did not slur him, but he slurred and threatened her. He harmed others before her.
She is the one paying prices. And don’t forget the victims before her.
