Real Activism Protects Children, Not Egos

If the full extent of your “activism” against grooming is railing against age-gap relationships between older women and younger men,
you might want to take another look at what you’re truly fighting for.

Because grooming isn’t about age alone.
It’s about power.
It’s about manipulation, coercion, and deception—often by those who have social, spiritual, or emotional authority over someone vulnerable.

If you ignore all the men who groom teenage girls, exploit single mothers, or manipulate women in need of work, safety, or belonging—
and instead focus your outrage on older women dating adult men—
you’re not protecting anyone.
You’re just policing women. You know, the tale as old as time itself.

When the word “grooming” becomes a weapon used mainly against women instead of a warning used to protect children and people with disabilities we lose sight of the real issue.

Predators don’t look like headlines—they look like charm, mentorship, leadership, opportunity, love.
They target children. They target vulnerability.
They groom families, schools, congregations, and communities.

So if someone’s entire crusade against “grooming” stops at shaming grown women,
they’re not doing the work of prevention—
they’re doing the work of distraction.

And every moment spent attacking women is a moment stolen from protecting the innocent.

Affirmation:

Real protection is about truth, not control. Real activism defends the vulnerable, not the comfortable.
