The news of Austin Wolfe’s sentencing has landed heavily. Once a visible figure in the adult entertainment industry, he now faces the consequences of crimes that cut to the core of human dignity—enticement of a minor and the distribution of child sexual abuse material. His conviction is not just about one man; it is about the betrayal of trust, the exploitation of the vulnerable, and the reminder that no community is untouched by harm.

Normally, I would not report on something like this but today I feel compelled to because the who remains silenced, unseen, and unheard. 

For many in the Black gay community, this case reopens wounds. Their voices often go unheard in broader conversations about justice, safety, and visibility. To witness yet another public figure use power for exploitation is painful—and it comes on top of long histories of being sidelined, unseen, or dismissed.

This moment calls us to hold several truths together: the seriousness of crimes against children, the grief of communities who feel betrayed, and the unchanging truth that every Survivor deserves to be heard, believed, and protected. Justice is not complete until all voices are recognized, and all children are safeguarded.
