Sad But True Little Known Facts About Women in Prison

Abusers don’t just harm; they manipulate reality itself. Lies are a tool used to maintain control, to confuse, and to isolate victims.

If nothing is true then everything is possible. Every harmful act is defended against the truth.  Violence and abuse thrive in darkness, silence, and spaces where truth is not the valued norm.

Where the truth is the enemy, lies are the hero.

 Breaking Free from the Lies
Understanding that lies are the foundation of abuse is the first step to breaking free. Healing starts when we reclaim our truth.

  • Believe yourself. If something feels wrong, trust that feeling.

  • Seek validation from safe sources. Trusted friends, therapists, and survivor communities can help you rebuild a sense of reality.

  • Speak your truth. Whether in therapy, in writing, or in safe conversations, telling your story helps dismantle the lies.

Lies are the cornerstone of abuse, but truth is the foundation of healing.

The more we recognize the tactics of deception, the stronger we become in resisting and breaking free.

When you feel overwhelmed in exposing truth, remember this: people are sacred, created in the image of God. Systems are not.

They are only worth the people in them and the people they serve. And people are to be treated, whether one or many, the way Jesus Christ treated people.
