God does not send lifelines shaped like chains—if it’s choking you, it ain’t saving you.
Let’s say this plainly: You are being manipulated.
When someone tells you, “No one wants you but me anyway,” they are not loving you. They are cornering you.
When someone says, “You are ugly/fat/crazy—you can’t make it without me,” they are not speaking truth. They are stealing your power.
When the world tells Black women, “Racists don’t even see you as women, so why are you fighting for womanhood?” that is not reality. That is an attempt to break your spirit and tamper with your connection to all of your being.
Do you see the pattern here?
Manipulation is not love. Cruelty is not care. Dehumanization is not wisdom.
People who want to keep you through shame, fear, and insult do not love you. They control you. And the way to keep control is to keep you convinced that you are not enough, not worthy, not capable.
But here’s the thing: You are.
You are worthy. You are whole. You are not some discarded thing that lucked into crumbs of attention. You are not a mistake walking around on two feet. You are not unlovable, incapable, or destined to suffer just because someone with a poisoned tongue says so.
A person who cares for you will not keep you in a place of pain. They will not destroy your sense of self. They will not mock your dreams, your dignity, or your humanity.
If someone is telling you that you are unwanted, unworthy, and incapable, understand this:
They are afraid of your freedom.
They are terrified of your power.
They know that if you ever realize how strong, beautiful, and deserving you are, you will leave.
And they are right. You should.
Hate is not a call to action. It is a trap.
If the only way they can keep you is by cutting you down, you were never in their hands—you were under their knife.
Do not let it move you.
Move yourself. Not out of spite, not out of proving someone wrong, but because you deserve peace, joy, and a life where you are seen, valued, and treated with care.
That world exists. You belong in it.
And you don’t have to ask permission.
A hungry wolf will call you ugly if it keeps you from running—get up and go anyway.
Run! Run towards your greatest gift-YOU.
*P.S. If it was not clear, people who say these things to you have no respect for you. ZERO.
And they mean it.
